Just read a posting about an MC45D and used it to complete more of my Super Series engine chart.
Here's the link to MC45D Post I'm referencing

Thanks Guys for all your effort trying to figure out the 45D. Tom Smith got so frustrated he went and put a MC30 together to figure it out  Lynn Haddock just pulled one out of his stash 8-) Ron Cubel finally gave in to it's existence, but without his comments it wouldn't have got anyone going ;) Steve O just kept asking razor sharp question questions to keep everyone on edge ;)
Great Post! Love it :D
I was able to fill in and confirm how to ID the MC30 with the discussion on the MC45. Thanks Tom Smith :D I also sepparated the MC45 and MC45D into sepparate models for now but I really think the blocks were the same anyway. I've been lacking a bit on how to ID the early super series; so I'm still filling things in. ID'ing a 101 using the Super Series chart is pretty trusty; Thanks Vinnie :o The 45's are fairly easy to identify since they have the single oval hole exhaust port but the MC30 has so much machine work done on it I never new what a factory block looked like and what I could trust. Tom Smith provided the pics and description that's hard to deny.

Remember while your looking at the ID charts in the site we are mostly trying to document how to ID a block the same way it was discussed in the 45D posting. A picture of an engine with sticker won't do all the time; unless it comes from Haddock LTD of course :)

I still have a few things to smoothout on the site to make it easier to flip through, so hold on.
It's doubtful it will ever be as good reading as some other vintage kart sites since once your in a chart you have got to really drill into what your looking for and click on the underlined links; All I did is put it together so you can compare each engine in it's series of production.

Now back to confirming what I have for the MC20 and do MC49's for MCBob to make him feel better :)
