WB700 Head shroud

Post by Rick Chapman » Thu Jul 01, 2010 7:46 pm

Hey guys, especially you West Bend guys.
Did the WB700 have an aluminum head shroud?
I believe the 580 did not have any type of a head shroud but I am not sure about the 700.
AND, what is the easies way to tell if the 700 is a 5 port engine without disassembling it or are all 700's 5 port engines??
Thanks guys
Riick

5-port engines have cover plates over the extra ports. Easy to see on an assembled engine.

Rick,
The West Bend on your bench is a 3 port. On the REAR home page, click engines, then West Bend, then WB 70012 &70013, then West Bend IPLs and Documents, scroll down to Power Head. It shows a 5 port block, and the cover plates. Mike
