I could make a front wheel drive rear wheel steering Caretta out of it without upholstery.

I am not sure but that Kart looks like it could be a 4 wheel steering kart .
The bellcrank looks like it may have a place that could run a link to the front wheels .

This has a lite weight chassis with heavy wheels and tires.

It has more leg room then the later Sprint Caretta's.
