Hi all,
as i'm not young anymore (at least to me) so i decided to build a starter cart for my go karts.
the handheld ones i have weigh a ton after a few starts.
Seemed a simple matter just mount the starter on a hand truck sort of set up and you're done.
Surprisingly it's not that simple.
the wiring is easy just a starter, battery, soliniod and good button.
but the placement of the starter and battery and how they interact and fit was a bear.
i built and rebuilt my first one several times before i felt it was decent.
even though i managed to cobble one together that works fine but it occurred to me that others would benefit from a thread outlining construction details of these things.
Sooo, send in pix and dimensions so the new guys can build their own , without re-inventing the wheel.
thanx dave

Re: building a kart starter cart
That's why we use the light hand heald starter shown here. Small, light, packs easy, don't scrach your kart when someone runs the starter kart into the back of your chassis.
