Gary Doemelt's Collection for Sale

When I read the original post I was touched at the generosity of Rodney's friends. I spoke with Gary once regarding one of his King Kart repros and he came off as a really good guy. That obviously is an understatement.
His generosity, and the others from the vintage community wishing to send donations, got me to thinking. Not everyone is in a position to buy one of his karts or with money tight, a donation might be tough.
But me thinks everyone has some "stuff" ratholed, hoarded, saved, ect. ect. In a box , on a shelf that they might be willing to part with.
So when I see a GEM box muffler ( that you can still get from GEM for $40) go for $100 on ebay I seems that people will over pay for something they want so why not overpay for a good cause. And in the process stuff will find new homes and new friends might be made.
So in the spirit of such things, I am putting up for bid a GEM third bearing mount with all of the proceeds going to Rodney. I will list it on the Vintage site in the For Sale. I will post this long winded reply on the other sites but the auction will be on Vintage ( cause I think I can post pictures there)
