Good runner, good looking R1 with twin Mc20's.
Looking for a buyer who can pick this up in upstate NY. Will deliver within 75miles of Rochester, NY. Reasonable price.
Was one of the "fantastic four" at the 2009 Big One
Has some track rash after being run for 3 years but still looks good. Tires are near new.
If interested, PM me and I'll send pics.

Wow, Scott! It's hard to think of you selling the R1. I went back to the "Fantastic Four" 2009 pictures to have a look at us sitting there side-by-side. Guys, you ought not to let this one slip away, it's a gorgeous machine! I know how hard it was for me to sell the Van Tech, but at least Charlie is getting it, so it will still be in "the family". TJ

Re: Nice McCulloch R1 for sale
Thanks Ted,
I appreciate the endorsement.
Ya know though, I am finding that no body really wants a classic R1 with 2 Mc20's anymore. A few years ago a nice one would bring $6k - $7k and I can't give mine away for $2500. I can't justify all the work I put into that kart for such a small amount. Looks like the R1 is here to stay.
If you want my 2 cents, that's what competitive racing has done for vintage karting. The old classics just don't go fast enough or handle well enough to win those heats!!! Gotta win!!
I'll stick to old iron and not going so fast, it is just more fun for me.
Thanks again Ted,
Scott

Scott, I concur. I'm thankful that Charlie liked the Van Tech as much as I do. Nodody wanted to pay what I thought was a very decent price. At least it'll still be "in the family" with Charlie
Look at what I'm doing now: Building the look-alike Nike Zeus, just so it'll be comfortable for my big tummy! It won't be competitive, but it'll be fun. TJ
