I was at work & we were putting gaskets on. The parts were heavy so a guy was helping me. We needed some silicone as usual happens the end of the tube was dry. So instead of digging it out he took the edge of a screwdriver & put a small slit into the tube where it was soft. We used what we needed & I said the rest will just dry out now and he said no it gets a skin on it and you just put a hole somewhere else. Might be the first time I ever used most of a tube instead of throwing it away or ripping it open.
