Info on Simplex Fun Kart
Anyone know where I can get info on a Simplex Fun Kart? Looked for hours trying but all I can find info for are the daul engine karts. Engine date code shows its a 68. Thanks for your time!
Re: Info on Simplex Fun Kart
Not sure what you have there. Never knew Simplex made a FUN kart model. They closed their doors in 1975 so that may have been something they made near the end of their productiion and it most certainly is not a racing style kart.
Not really any value to it aside from the fun valve it can give you. Get it running and take it for a spin. Just enjoy it for what it is.
The serial number you provided is a Tecumseh # and it identifies the motor as a horizontal shaft 4hp engine.

You can try asking Tom Thorin. He is known for his vast knowledge of Simplex karts.

The engines was made on April 26 1968, just not sure about the go kart. Not really looking to sell, just info.

Re: Info on Simplex Fun Kart
Found a few adds from Simplex and Manco with square tubing karts.

Nice find. I have never seen those ad's. But they are more minibike / fun kart stuff. Lots of the pieces must have been left over and used.
