Great job! Nice video showing the time and effort it takes to restore an old kart back to like new / better than new condition.
Can't help it but I laughed when you quit polishing the back end and painted it! Been there, done that. Bet laid plans and all. :lol: :mrgreen:

Picture perfect early October day at the little track in Ohio. We all got lots of work done. Bob keeping his grandson with equipment. Dale & his carb on his Dart. Ralph on his twin engine Walt Myers Lancer. Me on my SAE copy with new spindles.

A few didn't make it that planned on attending.

At the 13 lb range with the short stroke and big bore they were well designed for the track designs of the time. While a Italian engine was in the high 20 - 32 lb range. The points and condensers were a weak spot. The carb was a very poor decision and design for racing. Getting a rod and piston out ...
