With the weather finally starting to co-operate and many travel plans ahead now is a good time to find and inspect your fire extinguishers for the upcoming year. Check the manufacturers recommendations and the gauge itself for the condition and possible replacement of your extinguisher. If a replacement is in order mark the purchase date on the bottle itself for quick future reference.

It is good practice to have 2 units. One in your trailer to sit out for any pit side emergencies and one in your tow vehicle so you will always have quick access to it. Keep in mind that a extinguisher does little good in a burning trailer so keep one at your side while driving at all time.
