Hi Everyone,
I talked with Al Gutberlet today (Avon Track Owner) and he informed me that due to heavy insurance increase for the track this year has caused him to increase the cost of pit passes for non drivers. That means for this year's Avon event the 2 day pass for non drivers will be $35 and a one day pass is $20. He is giving us a break for the 2 day. Drivers fees have not changed and will still be $80 for the 2 day and $50 for 1 day. The 2 day driver includes the Friday night meal, the one day driver and non drivers will have to pay the $10 for the meal.
Bonus is that I scored some nice vintage trophies for the event. Each first place will get one of the trophies and 2nd and 3rd place will get a nice plaque.
We will be running 2 heat demonstrations this year on Saturday afternoon. Practice all day Friday and Saturday morning. Kart show and awards Friday night after the picnic.
Would like to see lots of you there, it will definitely be a fun event.
If you are coming, I would appreciate a heads up for our caterer, it is kind of tough to plan a meal when you don't know who is coming. I have to give her a count 3 days in advance of the event and would like it to be more than a guess. We ended up paying for a ton of extra food last year. A few have responded to my earlier request but only a few. I hope more are coming than that.
Hope to hear from you,
Scott
