stamp on the flywheel
heres another one .i have a Mc flywheel stamped 57946 looked at the # s on all the motors can't find that stamp need help thanks herb

Hey, Herb. Many manufacturers add a casting number into the part. Several end part numbers can be made from the same casting. The casting part number often has nothing to do with the post-processed part number. Ted

on a 5 degree flywheel, the keyway lines up with the leading edge of one of the magnets, on a std flywheel the keyway is aligned to about the center of the space between the 2 magnets.

I have had pretty good luck quickly eye balling the alignment to tell one flywheel from the other.
