Bendix brake springs

Post by ted johnson » Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:33 pm

Does anyone have a picture of the way the Bendix brake shoe return springs hook onto the shoes? The long end is obvious, but the short end is not. I haven't done a Bendix in 50 years, so I don't remember. Please post here, or PM me. Thanks. Ted

Don't have a picture but it's kinda backwards of what you think.

Hey, Rob. I saw that pic in the Azusa catalog, but it still doesn't tell me how the short end of the spring attaches. Ron and I looked at it, but he didn't have any more luck than I did. The hook on the short end is bent 90 Deg. from what is logical. Thanks, Bud! Ted
