Westbend flywheel
How is the flywheel on a Westbend 700v removed without damaging it?
Re: Westbend flywheel
It's called a knocker. Screws on the end of the crank and it tapped with a brass hammer.
PLEASE EVERYONE....... Ring your flywheels. Hold them on a screwdriver and tap them with a wood hammer handle. They should "ring" like a bell. If they thunk or it's a dull sound it has a crack in it. I have had many flywheels that looked new but were cracked. 60 years of being tightened on a taper has split them.
