McBob, interesting article on Mc-199bp & Mc-399bp engines

Mc-Bob, google Popular Science magazine December 1970. There is an article describing the 199bp and the 399bp twin with a cutaway drawing showing the 399bp power piston, balance piston, rods, and the big Mc carb etc. The snowmobile rods and pistons are close cousins to the saw and kart line. Just what you need for a hot McCulloch saw. The other Bob (McCulloch) is showing them off in the picture.

McBob, yes that's the cutaway drawing of the twin cylinder snowmobile powerplant etc.
McCulloch also had a BP kart engine based on a BP1 but the karting rules at the time stipulated that supercharged engines had to move up a class so they shit canned that project. I know they track tested them and I think they used a McCulloch Kart for those tests. Tom
