Post by Glen Annarumma » Tue Sep 15, 2009 4:36 pm

Hey guys I bought this engine and another this weekend at a swap meet. It says mc6 on the block and is in great shape. What year is this from and are they good for vintage racing. also got a torque converter with it. I never saw a torque converter for a MAC

Nice Mc6, hang on to it. I ran my Mc6 on my R1 kart at the Big One two weeks ago. It is a hot little engine. Production dates were 6/1960 to 10/1961 but is was probably sold for longer than that. Original price $99.95. What did you pay?

Have fun,

$85,00 with the converter. I started it and it runs great.

Bought a nice little Mc-6 off Craigslist. I trust Craigslist if you can do the deal using PayPal.

I see that some port ribs were removed. Are the piston rings pinned?

Yes..........When I get the proper hardware I'll go duel 6's on my Cates. I could use some help on what brand wheel sprocket hub I have. I've seen a few in pictures on parts tables at the big events.

I have been doing some work on my MC6 and my friend had this VANTECH manifold lying around. I polished the fly wheel and need to get a starter cup. This is a cool engine and cannot wait to run it. I need to get a tilly for it.
