heres a board i was working on today.
the other chain guard was damaged so i had to build up a repair today before installing it.
there was also an undercut that i changed to a negative angle so i could use a molding board
currently both chain guards are in place plus a venting/feed cavity.
will be filling any gaps and shellacing it tomorrow at some point.

i also stuck some pix of engines to give an idea of the amount of parts i need personally.
as you can see i need a few stuffers as all those blocks need one.
these are the motors that live in that location.
theres about 10 you can't see as they are here and there on shelves.

plus maybe 6 extra mcculloch saws good for little kart motors.
my theory of not leaving too many in one place to be counted came from hard experience.
my ole lady got to counting the blocks once when i had them all together and that was a bad moment!!!!
never again.

what became of the molds and tooling from all those great companies that once made stuffer intakes, headers, thin ring pistons, etc. ? Their design and quality are still advanced even by today's standards. I'm trying to carry on in a small way by making two fin, hi compression flatheads for Power Products on gas where the top cover can stay on, but this is only simple band saw / lathe work. That's why i'm impressed by what some of you guys are doing. Don't let the torch go out!
