opposed cylinder dual homelite motor

Post by david a luciani » Mon Oct 11, 2010 9:54 pm

hi homelite guys,

just came across a dual opposed cylinder homelite motor that's really neat.
it's a two stroke that was on a electric generator waaaay back when.
the motor spins freely and seems complete.
anyway is it gonna be an insane project to mount as a special?
i can get it from my cousin with a little begging and some sort of trade.
so the cash isn't an issue until i try to set it up!!

will get pix next time i'm down that way.

I recall many many years ago now that Victa Australia produced a twin cylinder horizontally opposed 160cc engine chrome bore and extremely light motor would have to date from the early 70's only ever got to see one of them makes one wonder where they all got to ............

Theone fred has is alot like that.
except two magnetos i think.
a 170 cc motor could be big fun on a vintage kart.
or a death mobile depending on your pont of view.
