I am interested in a cart on Ebay for restoration. Any Suggestions on how I can get this shipped?
Thanks

Re: Dart / lancer on Ebay - Shipping
with care grayhound best bang for buck.
issues: they only ship from some terminals - insurance s$cks - no tracking unless you're fairly close or have a shipping account with them. - 90# wt limit - aaaand worst if it's easy to move ie; wheels are still on it they can and will take it off the bus for luggage and ship later on, problem is the kart can disappear.
workarounds:
wrap or have kart wrapped in plastic wrap so it looks like a mummy.best to start with plastic garbage bag to obscure what it is then stretch wrap.
remove wheels and ship seperately or tape onto seat.
put steering wheel on seat too.
idea is to make it NOT look like a kart or have any value
you can also set up your own shipping account pay at your local place and have kart dropped at sellers local terminal.
i don't advise doing this without alot of care.
i've shipped maybe 10 karts by grayhound always been lucky.
next is forward air or brown trucks both cost twice as much or more.
last use the vintage kart ask a favor method.
find somebody local that's going to a rally you'll be at, throw some cash or something their way and get it at rally.
done that too works good most of the time.
