For anyone wanting rivets for the 2 cycle Max Torque clutch shoes, see link below, I wanted to share the listing on eBay I purchased from sometime back. These are the same exact brass rivets used by Max Torque back in the day. I suspect Many of you may have already purchased, but for those that were uninformed here is the link to that eBay listing.

I’m still unsure of what tool to use to secure these so as not to over crush them, in effect distorting the shoe materials proper fastening to the core.
Thanks,

Mark,
Thanks for the heads up.
Perhaps a tool similar to the tool used to attach snaps to upholstery would work.

Air Craft Spruce has a brake lining rivet tool, it works on the max torque shoes also. About $30.00 The proper size rivets are 4-4, Air Craft Spruce has them at .03 each.

Thanks Louie Great info!
I simply reported on what I saw on a new one, understand the 4-5 will work but are just little longer.
Here is the link for the 4-4 rivets Louie mentioned.
They Call them aluminum rivets, the ones I mentioned on ebay are surely brass and weigh 80 grams or 2.80 oz. for 100.

$36.50 a pound, plus $13.85 shipping and handling.

Re: max torque shoe material rivets
Mark, the rivets I have gotten from Air Craft Spruce are brass. I usually buy my rivets from Henderson Rivet Co. in Southern Calif.

Mark, my mistake, it Hanson Rivet & Supply Co. I don't know if they have a minimum order, this package has 100 rivets.
