Thanks to the Furtches

Post by ted johnson » Sat Apr 25, 2020 1:50 pm

I was bitching to Ted Furtch about how I was trying to avoid going to the grocery store. They were out of most products, and with this immune deficiency problem, I hated getting into a store with other people, none of whom will wear a mask. Ted and his wife sent me a cooler full of Omaha Steaks products! The food is great, and easy to prepare. I had one of the burgers last night, and it was good. I thank the Furtches for their kindness! I have been enjoying the burgers so much that I ordered another batch for the freezer.
Now I have the energy to finish Charlie Craibe's 700 five port Benders. Of course, I won't have ANY hair left on my head once those damn things are buttoned up! West Bend sure got a lot smarter between the 510-580-645 and 700, and the 820 and 610 engines! Blind bores and crank snap rings! What were they thinking? Ted

Good for you Ted! Lots of stores offer curb side pickup, just call in your order or go online, pay for it with a credit card, go at the time they tell you & pick it up. Also uber food delivery service is getting popular where they will deliver it right to your home.

Hey, Rob. You need a cell phone to call in when you get to the parking lot. I don't have one. I can get most of what I need at the Eloy IGA. Few people in there, so it's pretty safe with a mask and the nitrile gloves Pruit sent over. The big issue here is the consumables. It's hard to find paper towels and T.P. anywhere. The IGA has neither, and the local dollar store also has neither. Ron and Sue are going to try and find both for me. I see you're going to run TBO this year. I hope things are safe to go out by then. Our kart gang needs to have an outing! Ted

Hey Ted, I hate going to any grocery store even when death is not knocking at every door. You think if the rest of us bitch and raise hell, we might get some sympathy steaks too?
