All you have to do now is: buy stuff, modify the stuff you just bought, fabricate more stuff, ask questions, paint, repaint, assemble, ask more questions, buy more stuff...
You know, small things like that.

good luck!

I think Phil Riley did some reproductions a while back.
Maybe he has some parts ?

I have a go kart replicia that I finished up several years ago for Barnesville to show but never run. It is powewcoated, upholstered and ready to go. Has 2 West Bend engines-willsellwith/without motors. I am selling off part my vintage kart collection. I have internal expanding brakes on the rear because I did not like the look of the paddle brakes but paddle brakes can be easily I installed, with exhisting hardware, adding a paddle, taking off the present brake internals. Kart signed by Duffy Livingston..you can’t reproduce this kart for what I’ll sell it for. Just want to get out of it near what I have in it. Shipping can be done. $995 or closest offer. This is an original I raced against at New Castle-shows no paddle brakes as does the plans-1958-first year-had paddle brakes...mine is a 1958, considered first commercial race kart built, dropped front axle, wiry caster..

The pictures are awesome!!!!! I have been looking for GK400 pics and they are hard to come by. These are exactly what I needed for reference.
My plan (so far) is to recreate a GK400B using one wheel peel and a single Clinton Panther to start. As a matter of fact, I am going to pick up a 2.5 hp Panther tomorrow I found for sale somewhat locally. It needs an air cleaner, exhaust manifold, and gas tank-but the guy sez it has the original mount, good compression, turns freely, and has spark......and it was CHEAP.......
As for parts, I plan to use Azusa TriStar wheels (even though they're not authentic) and a 5/8" steering shaft with a splined hub and a 12" steering wheel for safety.
Azusa spindles, tie rods and a drum brake will finish it up. But the frame and steering design will be an exact replica-or as close as I can get it. No Ackerman steering....I have another project that has all that......and a West Bend 580......
