They are BACK .. Tech Articles

Post by Jeff Campbell » Sat Aug 26, 2017 2:29 pm

Finally got around to restoring the old Tech Articles that were on the original REAR website

http://rearenginekarts.com/?cat=6

Enjoy again, or for the first time. Note there is now an "Articles" link in the main menu, top of page on main site. http://rearenginekarts.com

On the adaptation of HR carb to Mac manifold, if you're like me and have no desire to cut the little sleeves that must go the 1/4" Mac studs, McMaster Carr has little Oilite bronze bushings at 43 cents apiece. Part No. 2868T42 I did mine this way. Much easier, no finding the right size tubing, no cutting a 1/4" long piece off of it! Ted

Thanks for re forming the articles Jeff, is the duckbill test available? It was an in depth test article that you did and would still have value in that category.

on the adaption, we went to ace hardware, obtained oversized studs, drilled-retappped manifold. played with gasket hole opennings. for us, just to be easier and simple to work with. carb openning already there
