Thanks, Stan. I have a pair of 227's coming for the Bonbright 610, and a pair of 307's for the chrome bore 610.
Don't mean to get off topic here but Ted: the Bonbright 610 you speak of - isn't that a hard chrome bore? (I ask because your post seems to differentiate it from the "chrome bore 610"). Or did you have the Bonbright nikasiled? Does the Bonbright 610 have the same mods as his Vintage 820s?

Ted
In my 610/820 Service Manual dated 6/81 West Bend list the following
H L numbered carbs that they used. 130A-189B-134A-232B-122A-173A
and 320A depending on what model your dealing with.

Thanks, Gene. I knew that 820's came with a whole gaggle of Tillotsons. The 232 seems to be a really good carb for gas.
Andy, the chrome bore block I have is not one of U.S. Motor Power's current 610's. It's one of a pair of experimental engines that U.S. Marine was playing with a number of years ago. The engine I'm sending to Dave Bonbright to have the "magic" done is a N.O.S. Dave Libberton 9-port 610 steel bore that was built in the early seventies to compete with the 91's in stock reed class. I don't think they were ever homolugated. Between myself and my Buddy, Charlie, we had three of these. Charlie has one on his '61 Bug Scorpion, and it runs very well. I sold one to a gentleman in Florida, and this is the third one. This is also my third Bonbright 610. His 610 mods mimic his 820 mods. The first two ran great, and I'm sure this 'un will do just as well. Ted

Ted,
I have a HL283A that found in my stuff. I think that it is a gas carb because my father in-law did not run any alcohol. It looks in good shape just a bit dirty everything moves freely. Give me a call, I don't get on very often
This is the best way to get in contact with me.
