Who invented the pyramid reed? The M.I. Encyclopedia from 1962 hints that it was early racer Lou Borelli. Or could it have been the engineers at Homelite?
I hope this post is not too far fetched- karting history is important to me!

As far as I know, they were adapted to karting from Homelite. I can't say when Homelite came up with the pyramid, but I do know that there were numerous Homie saws with pyramids in the late fifties, and even more in 1960. Gene Wise and others were putting them in karts at this time. TJ
