Vintage on TV this Friday June 17 2011
I have been talking to a lady that was gathering info on an 1961 McCulloch kart for a TV show. Here are parts of emails that she had sent over time. I know nothing about what she does. I have seen the show before but never really anything with this type of background. Should be intresting.
I work for the show American Restoration on the History Channel.
The episode, which is called "Secret Fan," will air this Friday June 17th. Please check your local listings for time (usually 10/9c)

This should be interesting. I foresee a run on McCulloch karts
Exposure on such a large scale could be good

FYI - from show website:
Secret Fan
Premiere Date: 06/17/2011
It's a restoration race to the finish line for Rick and his team when a client cruises in with a 1960's go-kart. Can they masterfully mend this miniature motor vehicle, or will this project be a karting catastrophe? And later, Tyler conspires to fix up a 1950's fan as a gift to Rick for Father's Day. Can he briskly breeze through this covert quest, or will a minor blunder blow this stealthy son's surprise?

Jeff, I'm glad this is from the show's website! I'd hate to think that you'd started talking like that! TJ

FYI - for 2 bucks you can watch it on Amazon ... there is a short preview of the show for Free, looks like they did a nice job with this show..
I heard that Terry Ives did the engine for this restoration. The show worked their way through a number of people within our vintage karting community.

I saw this show last night on the History Channel, looked to me like a Mcculloch R200 with a MAC 6. It was nice to see the vintage kart scene get some TV time.

Ron that was $4500 to restore it. That's not the value. To bad he didn't get the correct tank, paint the inside of the petals, Steering wheel emblem or put the floor sticker on right or let alone a floor mat. Kinda a strange show with a before & after & not much nuts & bolts.
