Re: mcculloch mc2
It was McCulloch s answer for "A" bushing in 1962. They only made it for a couple months . It was very fast compared to the Clintons and other bushing engines. The bushing class was dropped and that ended the Mc 2 . So your friend has a pretty unusual piece.

Re: mcculloch mc2
Steve, The mc 2 had a fixed head and seems to me some of the ports were not drilled. When I was a kid we raced one and eventually bought a Mc 7 block and transferred all the guts out of the Mc 2 into the 7. The Mc 2 was a lot faster than the Clintons and the Mc 7 ran good till we bought a Mc 8 in 63.

Re: mcculloch mc2
Steve,
FYI,
The Mc2 is a 6cu-in engine so it wouldn't be allowed to run in the Mc49 class even though it is a bushing engine and probably not much faster than a 49er. That baby is better left on the bench as it is pretty unusual, give the guy one of your 49ers for the 49 class. I think we may have a good sized 49 class at Avon at least I hope so. There were a ton of them at Barnesville, definitely a fun class even though the cheaters with Mac450 saw motors disguised as 49's always run up front but isn't is always the same story. Some guys always have to win no matter what.
I think I have a spec sheet on the Mc2, I'll look for it and post it here if I can find it.
