Just a heads up for those who don't know. This listing on eBay is not a MC49 for sale,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/226924033124

Seller couldn't provide proper numbers off the block.

I just emailed him with this;;

"This is a saw engine sold by “Widgacar” in Ormond Beach Florida. There are many telltale signature evidence of that, as he was infamous on vintage kart website forums for selling saw engines he painted up pretty as genuine kart engine fraudulently. Fortunately he has not been on eBay selling his “ART” engine scams. I’d advise you to reveal this information to protect yourself from an unhappy buyer who finds out that he didn’t buy a MC49. Should you need further examples of this fact, feel free to ask;. I wouldn't even call this a "Clone"

Other defunct forums covered this WIDJACAR seller on eBay several years back, With a very heavy heavy input from me on the matter. Some of you may remember this horsesh1t. Dave Luciani probably has access to those threads, but the name was butchered by many that responded to those threads, so a search would have to cover all the waYs widgacar was spelled. But that is the acurite spelling of that seller.

If I ever had a pet peev, this was it.

Thanks,

mark L. // SWNY

the seller has now revised the description, he admitted in an email that he did buy it from Widjacar

Later today he pulled the auction

I found this seller to be in the dark for the most part, I've dealt with Him before and he made good on a part I had to wait and wait for, so in all fairness I dont fault the seller at all, especially after he DID change out the title and description.

Thanks Mark. While the majority of vintage karts are fair and honest....... right from the beginning there were many shady sellers and deals..........
