hello all, this is my first post to rear site. i have been collecting and playing with vintage karts for about 4 year now, so still very wet behind the ears. I am looking for a Mcculloch engine to run on my 61 swoopster in historic at sugar river in July. so Mc 1,2,5,6,10 or 20 ,I think? if i am wrong with those being age appropriate for 61, some one please let me know, so i am looking for the correct engine. I would love something that was in running condition , but price may dictate one that needs some work. thanks Shawn Moore

Shawn,

Welcome aboard.

Good luck with your engine search, hopefully somebody will get in contact with you with a motor.

If no one contacts you don't give up hope. Keep your eyes on this section of the forum, engines listing popup quite often plus Ebay has engines listed all the time. If you still can't find what your looking for you should think about attending THE BIG ONE presented by us here at Rear Engine American Racers. Every Labor Day weekend R.E.A.R. hosts not only a historical kart meet but also the largest kart swap meet dedicated to Americas early iron.

Shawn,
FYI. West Bends, Power Products, Clintons and others will also fit the bill.
Here is a site with Information on Mc's with years produced.

Hi Shawn,
I have a fresh Mac 6 with new piston , bearings, seals, powder coated shrouds, gaskets, etc. It has run approx. 10 laps at Santa Maria and then cleaned up and bagged. It has some mild port work done and ran quite well on the test laps. Will sell for $350 without intake or exhaust (available at extra cost ). Send me your email for pictures. Shipping from SoCal approx $35. Thanks for your consideration, Paul
