What is the difference bteween a Chaparral and Dart steering shaft? assuming they are both 5/8" in diameter.

Both shafts are 5/8th's but the end that connects to the linkage rods is a bit narrower than the one on my Chaparrel. Also the splines that attach to the hub are different; smaller. The end that attaches to the linkage is definitely wider where it is welded to the shaft and more heavy duty on my Chap shaft. Thanks Virg.
