Emmick Decals

Post by Frankie Schaffier » Mon May 07, 2012 8:16 am

Hello Gents,

Take a look in your sticker drawer from me if you would. I'm in the need of at least 4 Emmick tank decals for two karts that have been restored.

I did try calling Emmick with no sucess, either with the phone being answered or voice mails and emials returned.

I used to have hand fulls of these decals and gave them away. Now I'm hunting for them.. Go figure

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time.

Come to think of it Joe, I do know this nut case that carried his kart on the roof of his MR2. And even though he was driving a Tony Kart at that time. I think I gave he Emmick stickers to put on his kart because he didn't know any better, loved stickers, or thought it would make him faster, or thought it would increase his shop discount.

So where are the stickers Joe?

Somewhere I still have the pictrues with your shifter tied to the top of your car. What ever works, right? Too funny, and very good times.

Enough small talk, find me some stickers Joe..

Hey Frankie-
Try contacting Ed Sahagian (Mr. FEDCO) he may have something squirreled away that you could digitize (Ed is a big Emmick fan and has several enduros). It would make the whole process A LOT easier than building from scratch (pain-in-the-assets).

I had heard that Emmick tossed ( ) a bunch of old stuff when Linda retired.

Dan,

Thanks a million for taking the time.

I think I finally have it covered. A gentleman that's in the same boat as I am is having few made. Plus I have an old customer of mine that says he has some that's coming my way. Add to that Rob V. here also has a company that can re-produce the decals. Sooooo, it went from me saying "I can't believe I can't find any damn decals" to having what I need plus.

As far as Emmick, it breaks my heart to see the results of Linda and Ronnie leaving the company. With the surge of lower cost low horsepower classes (clone), Emmick could have nailed that as good as or better then any other. Then life moves on..

Thanks again Dan, I appreciate you taking the time.
