Looking to buy a pair of GAS HL-232's. Also need a pair of GAS HL-227's, HL-250's or HL-283's. Carbs must be in good condition and unmodified. No broken castings or stripped threads. Condition of gaskets and diaphragms is unimportant. Please PM me, or list them here. Thanks. Ted Johnson

Got a pair of 227's coming, thanks to Kelly West. Still need a pair of stock gas HL-232's (820 carb). Ted

Thanks, Pat. I'll hold off for a few days to see if a pair of 232's show up. If not, I'll be in touch! Ted

Ted,
I always thought the HL134A was the 820 carb. I just stripped the WB bronze paint and rebuilt 3 of them for Dick Teal's Mc6 project.
Ron C. used to have a bucket of them, I even bought a couple from him, they had WB bronze paint on them but were alky carbs so I rebuilt them but never used them. I think I might have a couple 134 gas carbs also. If you can use a pair of those check with Ron or I could help you out if I have a pair but mine are all done up.
Take care,
Scott

Just for info the HL232A carbs were standard on the model 82023 and
the 82027 WB820 engines made in the 70s.

Thanks, Gene. I know that the 232 makes a responsive gas carb that holds its tune well.
Scott, Ron has a number of Tillys but he's used and sold a lot of them. If you've got a matched set for gas, I'd be interested. I DEFINITELY don't want alky. Since we built the very nice set of flatback gas carbs for the 101, I've decided not to have to carry two fuels to the track. Also, I'm tired of purging alky out of the system after 50+ years of doing so! Thanks. Ted

Ted,
The Hl232's have choke plates. I have one and Joel is using it on his radio flyer wagon kart.

Thanks, Stan. I have a pair of 227's coming for the Bonbright 610, and a pair of 307's for the chrome bore 610. TJ

Ted,
I always thought the HL134A was the 820 carb.
According to my service manual Scott, the original kart engine (61001/02 and 82001/02) 610/820s came with the HL134 carb. I know the engines we first bought from West Bend in '62 did.
