HELP: Need an OLD Airheart down lever quick!

Post by Terry Armstrong » Sat Aug 20, 2011 12:42 pm

I'm looking for an OLD Airheart DOWN lever for a master cylinder.

Just purchased one from Tolomatic and found out they changed the design and now the master cylinder lever interferes with the caliper!! In pictures I've seen, the OLD lever looks like an UP lever except the raised boss for the piston is near the middle of the lever.

The UP lever has the boss at the bottom.

If anyone has one they are willing to part with, please let me know. Trying to get ready for the BIG ONE!

Thanks,

Terry

I think one drilled hole will make it into a down lever. There are 2 styles.

Terry,
Just make sure you chuck up a carbide drill, my levers were hard as a rock!!

FYI,
I send your parts yesterday.
Scott

Thanks Rob & Scott,

I had an old UP lever and was able to modify it so it will work!

Scott, you're absolutely right about the hardness! Had to bring it to work to drill it!
