After over 30 minutes of wasted time on line, I'm mad as a wet hen. Can anyone sell me (3) of the NAPA (SKF) PTO shaft seals Part No. 7414 for the Mac 7's, 8's 9's? My local NAPA can't seem to get them anywhere, though I figure they didn't really try for that small a sale. Thanks. Ted

McMaster Carr.
Order the 3/4" ID and 1 1/8" OD and you get the 7414 seal. I have been ordering mine from them for awhile now. Only takes a couple days to get them too.

I buy these seals and bearings from my local bearing supply house. Locally we have Motion Industries or Kaman Industrial which probably are located across the country, look for them. Or look in your phone book under "bearings".

Thanks, Sonny. Casa Grande is too small, and I refuse to drive to Phoenix for two seals! Merry Christmas to all! Ted

Re: 7414 Mac PTO seal
Ted,
I use Baum Hydraulics for all my seals.

You can either call them or order online. If you order online, you need to find the right part number in their catalog first, as the online lookup application sucks. The catalog can be downloaded as a PDF file. I'll email it to you. Look on page R25 for Chicago Rawhide seals ( SKF ). I also order the National brand which is a little farther back in the catalog.

Thanks, Terry. Since I left the hydraulics design gig in Wisconsin, I've lost touch with suppliers! Ted
