Steve,

I had a "K" enduro with a pair of Bombs in about 1970 and the front brakes came on it; unfortunately I can't tell you if they were an option or not. The kart had the knock off wheels and Rupp style front discs on it. I traded 2 new Fox karts to Don Surwall for the kart. I restored it and ran it a couple of times in the early 70's.

I have scanned pictures if you're interested. E-mail me at teal@charter.net

Steve,

I just looked at the pictures and the front wheels didn't have knock off rims. I don't know if they were supposed to have them.

Yes front brakes were available. I've never seen a Model K with front knock off wheels. They used a 6" front wheel that looks very similar to a Rupp mini bike wheel. The front disc adapter for that style wheel is also unique. Which Model K do you have?

Tom,

Thanks for posting the literature. I wish I still had the kart in these pictures.

Many Thanks to all !!!! Bob K. explained to me once that the J and K were different in the tire size due to the fact that the K model had to use the 5 inch rims because of the front end height and yes they were the standard RUPP turbine wheels with the J model rear Knock offs !! The J Kart i have is a 1968 enduro came from Bob K. about 3 plus years ago and looks brand new with all the goodies and is in like NOS condition and i will never part with it !!!!! About 8 months ago i installed 2 brand new 101s on it but never had the time to try it out because at that time i was on R&R from Iraq and yes i am here now south of Baghdad !!! Thanks to Bob K. i got back into karting with the stuff i used to race back in the 60s and early 70s and like many of us i got out of it and now back in with full force !!! I just love old karts and the new stuff is all right but its not just my cup of tea i guess !!!! Thanks again to all and if you have anymore pictures or anything else to add please do because i forgot a lot over the years !!! Thanks Again !!!!! Steve Foster !!!!

So, what would be a fair price to ask for a complete Dart H/A set up??
2 Turbine wheels w/deep out side half, 2 pin disk and disk, both H/A wheel calipers, H/A Master cylinder and the system is on a kart that I ran last year.
There is nothing wrong with the system.
I have concidered selling the brake system.
Any idea would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rick
