This is an original Dart Kart by Rupp Chaparral. It is totally restored using only original vintage parts, there are no reproduction parts anywhere. It took around 6 years to gather everything. It is custom painted in Corvette Black with hand applied pinstrips and a gold leaf number. The tri-carb 101's were assembled by Dave Robinette. The are equipped with GEM V-12 and GEM crankcase stuffer mounts with fresh Tillotson CR-1A carbs. They have polished Reed 500 mufflers. The kart has the very rare original Rupp/Airheart front disc brakes, dual master cylinders and dual caliper rear brakes. Also included are Rupp 6 inch rear Knock-off wheels. The 7 quart is perfect and show chromed as are the wheel rims. During the restoration every nut and bolt was replaced. The Hegar sprocket hubs sprockets and the sticker tires are NOS. It's been called the nicest Chaparral in the country by more than one person. Look at the pictures and see if you don't agree. This karts condition is ready to run, just add the alcohol. More pictures on request. Asking $8,500.00. Thanks.

Bill, I have a couple of original Rupp Chaparrals with the optional front brakes from Rupp and on those karts the master cylinders are in line with each other and are connected with a brake bias adjuster which comes in handy for balancing the front to rear brake bias. Here is a drawing of the same brake bias linkage Chaparrals used only it's from a J-Kart front brake option schematic. Tom

Tom,
Thanks for the schematic. My Kart does have a linkage between the two master cylinders that allows for front to rear bias adjustment. Bill
