Mc7 Etc. piston

We've got a good stock Mc7 block, but it's +.030. Anybody have a NOS third port piston (not a 9-port) with rings for this one? Prefer non-chrome rings if I can get them. We're trying to get a few REAL vintage dual 100cc karts up for next year in CA. Thanks. Ted Johnson

I would be just as happy to get a stock bore stock port Mc7, 8 or 9 block in really good condition. We have several stock bore pistons here. Thank you all! Ted

Ted,
Vince had some of those .055 over block saver pistons, they were full skirt.

Thanks, Scott. I will hang on for a while and see what develops before I bore that far out. Trying to get the Van Tech running with twin Mac 7's. I bought two of the prettiest Van Tech single manifolds I've ever seen this morning to put on the '7's. It'll be a fun ride. Ted

Ted, Is the group limited to 200 cc vintage duals or can for instance dual Mac-6's, Dual WB-580's, PP-58's etc. be included? I know where there are some historic duals kicking around with the smaller displacement engines. In fact I know a guy and his wife who still have his Go Kart 800 with dual Mc-10s that he raced when it was new and his wife's Go Kart 800 single Mc-10. Both are hanging on the wall in their garage. Tom,
I can speak for Ted and me on this one, EVERYONE is welcome, we welcome anyone at any event that takes the time to put together an early dual or single. We would love to see dual Mc6s run or any early engines and karts. Just trying to get people excited about the early stuff.

Tom, AMEN to what Ron said. This is just an idea that we're hatching so that all the vintage twins can play together, have fun and be seen! I know I love to hear the old duals running. It's not the shove you get from a pair of '91's or 101's, but it's still a respectable ride. I ran my GoKart 800 with dual Mc20's in '61, and I loved the push and the noise. A pair of stroker '10's or Super 58's on an 800 would be the ultimate...but I can't have everything!

Ted,
I have my 2 bone stock Mc20's on my R1 geared 6.6:1 and it has a surprising kick, is really fun to drive, and the sound is amazing with the 2 reed 2pc "mufflers". I am sure a single 101 will run circles around it but driving it is like a trip back to 1961. I wish I could bring it out but it is just too far. Ill have it at TBO next season. Hope you guys have a ball.

Hey, Scott! Wish you could be at Bakersfield with the Mac Kart, it's gorgeous! It looks like there'll be several true vintage duals there. I haven't decided which mufflers I'll run on the dual, but I have a Reed on the Swoopster. We had to do some mods so it'd clear the chain, but I think it's there. I just mounted it yesterday.
If I don't find a +.030 piston and rings, or a stock bore Mc7/8/9 block for the dual, I'll still be whistling Dixie come the season! Hoping I can still make TBO with Charlie. Later. Ted
