Did Go-Power even make a Clinton manifold Chris? In the 20 years I've been doing kart stuff, I've never seen one- not even in all the back issues of the karting mags and books I have.

I had a Go Power manifold for an E65 shipped to Australia in '65. It incorporated a pyramid reed block and crankcase stuffer. Several different thicknesses of reeds were available which allowed you to vary the power band. Increase in performance with addition of a Tillotson and some good fuel was dramatic.....well for '65 anyway!

Go Power made a manifold for the E65 and one for the A400/A490.
Both models had just 4 bolt holes for mounting to the block even though the E65 block has a 6 bolt capability.
The A400/A490 version had small 'fuel lines' that supplied fuel mixture to the crank bearings. This was done so that the bushing bearings were sufficiently lubricated. The E65 version doesn't need the lines as it has ball and needle bearings on the crank. Here is a picture of Chris's Go Power A490. You can see the 'fuel lines' on the bottom of the manifold. They are not used on Chris's engine because it is fitted with ball and needle bearings.
Sorry for butting in Chris.

The Go Power manifold I am in need of is for a differant 490 , that is a bushing engine. Come on you guys quit hoardin , ha ha ha .
Now the cool part of the Go Power Clinton engine Terry posted the pic of. That engine was a test bed for Go Power parts and mods including loop scavenge and bearings instead of bushings. It was used on Go Power dynos as a test mule and reportedly made 9 to 10 HP.
It will be on a kart and running this fall at TBO, watch out you E 65 guys ! ha ha ha .
