reproduction reeds?
Somebody had new reeds available for some of the earlier after market manifolds a while back. I think they had Go Power, Van Tech, Christensen, and maybe some others. Anybody have the contact info? I need some Christensen reeds. Thanks

Re: reproduction reeds?
Say,Tom, If someone can get a CAD file translated to .DXF, my local waterjet cutting shop has a non-abrasive .006 head that ought to cut them with ease. Since I got laid off from Sandia, I don't have CAD access, though I'm looking into it now. The head I mentioned cuts gaskets like die-cutting, and it's especially suited to plastics. If someone sends me a .DXF file, I'll be glad to do the leg work for you. Ted
Re: reproduction reeds?
I have DXF for Go Power & Homelite reed cages. I used to laser them out but water is probably a better method.

Re: reproduction reeds?
Rob, I think I also still have my old Homelite DXF, and maybe the Go Power as well. Think I'll look into getting a fresh sheet of GE G-10 material. I'll keep you posted.
Tom, glad you found some reeds! Ted

Re: reproduction reeds?
Dave, I'm sure there are some router-cut Go Power reeds here you can use. I didn't have CAD here when I had them made, so the guy cut them about .04/.06 long, so I advise that you check them against a steel reed and sand them shorter as needed. I've done a bunch of them that way, and the fella who's using them has no issues. email me at home: nosnhojkart@yahoo.com and I'll send you some. TJ

B.T.W., Carbontech has .014 carbon fiber reed material. It's EXPENSIVE at $4.00 per square inch. I'm going to try some petals on the waterjet in a couple weeks. We'll see how it comes out. TJ
