BLACKHAWK KART at a LOW PRICE

Post by Joe Drabicki » Fri Dec 13, 2013 10:45 pm

Hey Gents,

I NEED TO SELL THIS KART IMMEDIATELY. If you have ever wanted a Blackhawk kart at a low price, here is your chance.

I have a mid 1970s Blackhawk Four kart (designed and built to run a Briggs 5hp) that I got in 2011 which I have slowly been working on. It is currently a burgundy or dark red and it was a drivable kart when I got it. I test drove it at the man's house when I went to buy it. The kart has drum brakes and a 5.5hp Honda 4-stroke on the rear right now. There is someone up north running a Blackhawk Four kart with a Mac on the back, so you can do that to run it in VKA events.

The steering shaft and vertical support tubes were rusty, so I removed them to work on them. The work on those parts is done, it just needs to be put back together. The floorpan needs to be cut from aluminum sheet and rivetted on the bottom of the frame. When I got the kart there was a mess of diamond plate for a floor and on the rear bumper which did not belong, so that got scrapped. A front bumper hoop needs to be bent and bolted on. The steering wheel is an Azusa butterfly which had bad rubber grips, so I removed them. I have not had time to make some wood grips to go on it. I took the wheels apart and tossed the worn out tires in the trash. The Margay series 24 star wheels have had the hubs bead blasted and ready for paint. The rims are washed and need to be polished.

The kart needs some love and almost everything is there. I can email photos if you PM me your email address. The photos I email will be how the kart looked the day I got it home in June 2011. THE PHOTOS ARE BETTER THAN THE THREE SHOWN HERE. I don't have any photos of how the kart looks taken apart. If you want current photos today, I can't get them because I am locked out of my storage unit since I have not been able to pay my rent this month.

I need to raise some money to pay my storage rent ASAP so don't delay. PM me if you want the kart.

$800 without the Honda 5.5hp engine, $900 with the engine.

If you pay for the kart now, I will deliver it to Jacksonville in January. I am 2-1/2 hours away from Jax. If someone in south FL wants the kart, I will deliver it to Tampa or 2-1/2 hours south of me. I can also ship it by Greyhound bus for an additional cost. PM me NOW. Thanks.

Kind Regards, Joe
