I have an original restored GO Kart. It goes sooo fast. somewhere around 80 MPH. It is either a 1960 or 1961. It has a working MAC 92B/ 11.5 HP engine. My husband has owned this since the late 70's. I used to ride it. He hasn't ridden it in years. It still runs great and looks good too. We had a new seat custom made and painted it Red. Since I have searched for one to get an idea of what this is worth and can't even find one anywhere like it. I do believe I have a truly unique item. My son did some research and said they sold for $20 to 25,000. I am asking $18,000. However any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
UPdate: Thank you for your feedback! Very much appreciated. I would rather hang on to this for the grandkids now that it may not be worth getting rid of. I'm not seeing how to take it down so I added this.

Re: 1960? McCullock go kart for sale
Kathy, it is a Percival Hellcat, around a 1962, as the 1961 Hellcat did not have a swing engine mount. They're not common, but not rare either. The Mc92 engine is quite common. Engine in good working order worth at best $400.00. The kart is worth between $800 and $1200 without the engine. You're looking realistically at from $1200.00 to $1600.00 with the engine. The rear wheels are not the correct wheels for the kart. They're inexpensive Azusa Tri-Star wheels. The front wheels are proper, but should be painted the original Go Power gold. The brake drum should be chrome, not red paint. It's a nice "rider" kart, but would require a lot of work to make it into a show kart. Anyhow, it is only worth $18,000 if the buyer is some Arab oil sheik. I own a fully modified alcohol burning 100cc engine on a comparable kart, and 80 M.P.H. is only a dream. Sorry. Ted
