Hey Gents!
My 10'x15' storage unit is way too small and stuffed with karts and parts to actually work on anything. I started using my screened porch at home for my kart restoration activities and the wife is mad. Oh my gosh, don't I live in the house too? Can't I clean some wheels or mount some tires in the screened porch? I began using some paint stripper in a metal pan to remove paint from one of my Blackhawk gas tanks and she flipped out! Sakes alive, what would she do iffin I were to start welding in there?
I need to sell a few things to build myself a good sized workshop in the backyard. Here are a few things I am offering FOR SALE:
KEEPING-----NO LONGER FOR SALE----1960s Unknown Kart roller: simple ladder frame that rises to the rear axle, dropped front axle, has what Steve Miller called a P-51 gunner bucket seat, welded handmade steering wheel on a 1/2" shaft, Hands wheels front and rear, unknown brand mechanical disk brake. $400 KEEPING
S-O-L-D----1964 Rupp Grand Prix roller: I just got this on 6/30/13, but I think it should go to someone whom will work on it before I will be able to, so here it is. Nice patina, dark blue over red chipped and peeling paint, serial number plate has NO NUMBER on it, really nice finned aluminum drum brake, two piece frame with heim joints, non-original seat cover, old Azusa steering wheel, right front axle repaired with flatstock top and bottom, rear has huge engine mount platform, crack in cross tube behind seat at engine mount, steel welded to rear bumper, all four turbine wheels are nice with zero broken bead flanges, 4" fronts and 5" rears. $675----S-O-L-D
S - O - L - D 1964 Hornet Sprint A frame: has original steering wheel, original seatback gas tank, no seat upholstery, aluminum sheetmetal needs to be replaced, has non-original extended front bumper, has Enginetics disk brake system, SOLD the one Go Power and one Nylite wheel from left side of kart, has a couple Azusa black plastic wheels on right side(will be removed), blue clone engine won't go with the kart. NO WHEELS $475 S - O - L - D
KEEPING-----NO LONGER FOR SALE-----1976 Blackhawk 4-cycle roller: rear engine kart, (you can mount a Mac on it!) is missing the front bumper and floorpan (Marshall Fairman will make a new bumper for it), photos show a diamond plate aluminum floorpan which I removed, removed diamond plate from rear bumper, has 5.5hp Honda which won't go with the kart, has drum brake, non-original seat upholstery, will come with Margay series 24 5" diameter wheels front and rear. The hubs have been bead blasted. $900 KEEPING
T-R-A-D-E-D------1975 Blackhawk MKXI roller: lefthand sidewinder with Mac bolt pattern engine mount, pyramid gas tank, tube framed seat with headrest, seat upholstery incomplete, twin Hurst Airheart 150 brake system, rusted out right rear upright (Marshall Fairman will make a new one), will come with Margay series 24 5" diameter wheels front and rear.
