Think it is a highly modified 60 Bug Wasp? Ron

Ron's right. It is (or was) a '60 Wasp. Both Dad and I had them. It still has the welded in throttle shaft bushings for dual engines. Main rails look to be bent at seat front-maybe you can talk Ron into making you new rails like he did for his.... Good karts, but prone to frame breakage. TJ

yup, it sure is a bug wasp

...a few photos I found on the Internet:

The frame is bent ahead of the seat, and somebody did some creative patch work on the engine mounting system! The front axle supports are obviously an add on, which was popular. The pedal mount tubes, I thought were original, but I didn't see them on any of the example photos at the links above.

Wow, Jeff! The chrome 3-spoke wheel on the third pic set brings back memories! Dad's Wasp had one of those options. Bug's jig was crooked, as none of the spokes was truly radial! On your chassis, the pedal bushings are definitely not factory. Good find! Ted

In the Bug ad that I found, it said it came with a competition hydraulic spot brake. The axle bearing bracket on the frame extends forward with a triangular shape that has 3 holes in it, which I assume are for mounting a H&H hydaulic spot brake??? does anyone know for sure?

The bracket also accommodates the Bug Trophy mechanical disc brake that superceded the Palmini juicer in mid 1960.
