Last Fun Day on Oct 26th

Post by Rick Chapman » Tue Oct 14, 2008 10:24 pm

Hey Guys,
Cardington Speedway, down around Marion, Ohio, would like to extend an opportunity for us to get the karts out one last time for this year. All you need to buy is a pit pass and they will
give us time to have some fun.
Mark your calander for Oct 26th and for more information, you can call Jeff Hoisington, Rage Karts, and get directions and times..
Hope to see you there.
I have a commitment for 7 karts so far.
See ya there.
Rick

Hi Rick -
For a while now, since retiring to the Ohio Valley (north central WV, Rt.50)
I've been looking for a reasonably cheap place to safely test vintage laydown restorations and motors,
in a non-competitive environment, before venturing onto a road track (SPR) on a hectic, crowded race weekend.
The schedule (and prices) at a "real" track, like SPR or Mid-Ohio, are not conducive to shakedown and practice.

Circleville looks good for sprints, and has an admirably reasonable cost and great availability,
but I happen to have fallen in love with laydowns for my re-entry into karting.

I assume this is an oval. Though this is still a somewhat pricey trip,
that might be fine for shakedown and tuning, subject to availability and price.
Dirt or asphalt?
Size?

Googling it returns no website.

Thanks,
Rod
