I managed to borrow a neighbor's p/u truck to haul my R1, some spares and tools to the track in Fremont yesterday.
While I had my heart set on trying out the R1 with twin engines, it was not to be.
Last Tuesday, I had both engines running/idling just fine, but yesterday I couldn't keep the LH unit running to save my life. It was either wide open (well, not quite) or stalled. As soon as the revs dropped, it just died. I found I could make it recover if I slapped my hand over the carb for a second, choking it to suck some more fuel in. I opened up the carb, but I could find no reason that the low-speed function of the carb wasn't working.
Maybe I'll have better luck a week from Wednesday...
Fun in Fremont...
