On the Westbend 820 can you fit an inboard clutch ?

It has a straight shaft which is stepped for the thread and has a keyway to lock the clutch.

If you had the crankshaft with the Mac taper on the pto side you could use a regular inboard mac kart clutch. Maybe you can swap out the crank for the new mac taper one.

Would this clutch pictured use the tapered clutch or a keyed one ?
This one appears to be retained by a circlip ?

Bob-
I don't think you can tell if a clutch is for a tapered shaft or not by looking at the clutch drum. Need shots of the clutch hub to see if it's tapered or not... unless you have x-ray vision!

Sorry Dean i tryied to post a larger pic from photobucket but the forum wouldn't accept it as the pic was too big .............
Looks as if i wish to do do the project i have in mind i will need the tapered crank ......
