The Copperhead 820

Well fellas since i own one in my hotsaw i wonder how many others are using this engine now i know it isn't legal as far as REAR is concerned but i have noticed little about feedback on them in my Hotsaw which runs in the open over 100cc chainsaw events it's a powerhouse what have other readers of this fine forum noticed or found ?

McBob, have not run mine yet , may never run it, been using my old 820's and 610's. Their are a few running at the West Coast events and they seem to run strong.

Hey Rockabilly Bob-

Ed Sahagian has been testing them on the big track and has some nice things to say about them. He spoke of beating his best MC 101 times by 1-2 seconds.

Gee Dan don't tell me things like that up here or else they fellas will know why i bought the Copperhead ..... we have our chainsaw nationals coming up in November 08 and it will be interesting to see how the beast performs against the better saws in Stihl and Husqvarna but at this stage things are looking good it's definetly got the grunt and as my young mate says it's not all about revs AND we can wind this one up a little more in RPM ..... Now it's a case of getting used to the saw and it feel as operator feel is very very important i need to get it setup feeling like a Mac SP125C as these saws feel great in both balance and control.

Hey Bill-
I heard you set fast time (even beating the rotary boys) at Road Atlanta last Fall. Talk about fast 101...
For the record, I have and run both so no bias here...Heck if it runs, I am happy. I hope I have not angered the great god Mac or pissed off our Blessed Lady of Acceleration.

Hey Bob, ever think about setting up a rotary valved motor on a saw (Komet, Parilla or similar)?
