. Does anyone have an email address or phone number for Mr. Will Rogers? I would like to contact him about purchasing a set of the CT Alloy reproduction wheels. Thanks, all. Ted

Ted, Will's phone is 530-878-7594, he is located in Meadow Vista, CA, about 30 min from Terry Ives. I spoke to him this morning and he has two sets of CT Alloy wheels and will make more as needed. The price includes 5/8 inch bearings in the fronts.

I am glad someone had Will's phone number. He called Sunday morning when I was out grinding a load of feed for the calves. I wanted to call him back but did not have his number. This winter I sent him several twin cylinder Mercury saw engines. I want to see how they worked out for him.

Louie! I want to thank you again for giving me Will Rogers' phone. I just had a most pleasant 30+ minute conversation with him. Like so many Vintage Karters, he knows so many kart people, and has so many memories. I ordered a set of wheels from him, and I wish I could buy one of his Disston/Hoveys. Ted

He's a great guy and his son is just like him, always ready to help someone out. He has been karting longer than me and I started in '59. It sure is good to see what this vintage karting has done for us old guys, makes us young again, at least in our minds.

Yeah, he was telling me about his son. They sound like a great bunch! Maybe I will yet get to meet them. Heck, Louie, I haven't seen YOU since Vegas '06! We'll meet again, though. The contractor business at Sandia Labs is going through major changes, and I dare not push the vacation issue yet...
Dean, I haven't got a chassis to put the wheels on! I will find something. I just couldn't resist the CT's. I will put Scott's repro Go Powers on the Swoopster when it's ready - the Wigginton wheels are later vintage than the '62 Bandit, but they're closer to the early Go Powers than the CT's are. I assume the Disston's you were referring to were some of the Disston/Mercs I sent Will this winter. I am glad to hear they worked out. Will does a TRULY AMAZING job with them.

Yes, Bill. He's real proud of the Disstons, and who can blame him? I'd like to set up a rig like Will's, either with a Disston Merc, or with a Mac 99, just for fun riding. He sent me some pix with the as-yet unpainted Hovey with the stock shrouded Disston. It kooks cool
