How Many Vintage Karters were Vintage 70’s snowmobilers?

That’s all I did in my Teens, even in the summer, Ya All know you worked on them more than you rode them, especially when a paper route was financing the whole effort. Later in the late Teens had a real job that afforded me a 1976 Arctic Cat 250Z; I had Dealers trying to buy it from me. And the 1973 Arctic Cat 400 El Tigre, you know the one with 4 spark plugs that I sold on the hottest day of the year. I should have been horse whipped for ever letting those sleds go.

Then the latest blunder was selling the 1975 Suzuki Fury SM 440 “Grey Ghost” of which there was only like 3800 of them made which essentially was a 1975 El Tigre with a Suzuki 440 Free air with dual pipes and carburetors. It was a one off sled Arctic and Suzuki put out early to kick off the new Contract Suzuki had supplying the Arctic Cat engines in 1976.
The Cat Dealer in Arkport N Y told me the Fury beat the 76 El Tigre hands down. So it was something to be reckoned with as the Tigger was considered one of the best and fastest consumer snowmobile at that time.

If they ask me; “Any Regrets” on my dying day, I’ll smile and say “None!”, but there is that other thing I keep to myself.
That and $6 bucks will get you a great cup of coffee somewhere.

Thanks for your time.
