This year at THE BIG ONE we themed the event around unrestored originals and the participants responded with some classic examples of the American karts that time has forgotten. Aside from the 4 karts chosen for this years Fantastic 4 there were many other prime original true vintage karts on the grounds and as usual picking this years recipient of a coveted 'BIGGIE' once again proved to be a very difficult task. Thou 4 karts were deemed award winners, all of the karts on the grounds both original and restored helped to preserve a view into kartings past and for that we are greatful to all who took the time and effort to bring a machine out to both display and run it.
This years Achievement Award goes to Pruitt Ginsberg of Albuquerque New Mexico who generously donated a Visa gift card for our Bonus Raffle in honor of the passing of his friend and ours, Ted Johnson of Pheonix Arizona. Pruitt's donation in Ted's honor exemplifies that the friendship that he had with Ted through karting produces some of the greatest lifetime experiences and memories and for that we are all thankful that he shared his spirit of karting with all of us. Pruitt also received a "BIGGIE" for his efforts.
